WHAT ARE ANTI WRINKLE INJECTABLES?
Fine lines and wrinkles form from a combination of a loss of skin elasticity, collagen and the repeated overactivity of underlying muscles movements causing creasing of the skin.
Botulinum Toxin type A, a neurotoxin protein is injected into the skin in small amounts to temporarily block the chemical messages sent from the nerve to cause the muscle to contract. Without these messages, the muscle remains in a resting state until these messengers recover, resulting in reduced or minimal lines and wrinkles forming within the skin.
Treatment areas:
Upper face
Forehead lines- wrinkles on the forehead are very common and appear on forehead when your raising your eyebrows.
Frown lines/Glabella- are the vertical creases that appear between the eyebrows.
Crows feet- wrinkles marked in the corners of your eyes – repeated muscle contractions from squinting, raising eyebrows or frowning cause the skin to fold and furrow, gradually leading to facial lines.
Bunny Lines are fine wrinkles that appear where you scrunch up your nose, i.e. when you laugh or smile deeply.
Lower Face
Downward turned smile is the appearance of a lower lips turning downwards giving a sad appearance.
Jaw slimming/ Masseter Hypertrophy- enlargement of the masseter muscle and squaring of the jawline can create a masculine appearance
Gummy Smile is when the upper lip rises too high above the upper teeth, exposing gums when smiling.
Dimpled chin is irregularities in the skins surface causing lines and dimples in the chin area.
Other Areas
Nefertiti neck lift/ Neck bands- are formed by the platysma muscle, which extends from the collarbone up the sides of the neck. The repeated muscle activity here causes a ‘Turkey neck’, jaw tissue dropping and formation of neck bands.
Underarm Hyperhydrosis- excessive sweating, which can be treated for abnormal sweating in situations when it is not hot.
