Pain
Minimal, microneedling may cause mild stinging when the needles enter the skin. Some areas of treatment can be more sensitive than others, numbing cream may be applied to aid comfort
Pre-treatment preparation: Avoid alcohol at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen or any anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications ideally 2 weeks before treatment. Vitamin E, Ginko Biloba, St. John’s Wart supplements can also increase the risk of bruising after injections. Treatment is not recommended if your prone to keloid scars occurring
When to wait: 2-4 weeks either side of any facial treatment such as laser, microdermabrasion, microneedling, Hydrafacial’s or chemical peels, please consult with the practitioner
